Q. Can you please explain the meaning of ‘business elegant attire’?
I am preparing for a convention in which we are instructed to dress this way. I am a 52 year old male.
A. It may be that this means that you are requested to wear a suit, shirt and tie rather than just a shirt and slacks or a sport coat and slacks. When people make up their own dress code it is hard to know what they mean, but it would be a safe guess, with the word elegant added, that you are expected to wear formal rather than casual business attire.
